The Adaptec DuraStor 412R storage enclosure's innovative design packs 12, one-inch drives in a mere 3.5-inches (or 2U) of rack space, allowing to install a large amount of storage in a standard 19-inch rack.
The storage enclosure can be combined with an Adaptec DuraStor RAID subsystem to easily provide additional storage capacity. With 146 GByte SCSI drives in each drive bay, the subsystems have the capacity to handle 1.7 TByte of storage.
