RAIDstation7 hard disk drives use the SCA-2 connectors, providing hot-swap capability. Hard drives, available in capacities up to 36GB and spindle speeds to 10,000 RPM, are preinstalled in hot-swappable aluminum carriers. RAIDstation carriers without drives are available to integrate 1- to 1.6-inch high SCA-2 hard drives. RAIDstation7 arrays provide throughput of up to 160 MB per second and external cable lengths to 10 meters via Low Voltage Differential (LVD) technology
